Bio

Wendy C. Goldberg has been Artistic Director of the National Playwrights Conference at the Eugene O'Neill Theater Center for 13 seasons.  In that time, she has developed over 100 projects for the stage. During her tenure, the O'Neill was awarded the regional Tony Award, as well as the National Medal of Honor from the White House.  Wendy also leads the National Directors Fellowship Program, a program for emerging stage directors, now in its third year.  Directing credits include multiple productions at Arena Stage (where she served as Artistic Associate for 5 seasons), Denver Center, The Guthrie, Goodman, Paper Mill Playhouse, Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park (where she currently serves as an Associate Artist), the Alliance, Center Stage Baltimore, among many others.  Wendy will direct the first post Broadway production of Paula Vogel's Indecent for The Guthrie in 2018.  Wendy has been awarded the distinguished alumni award from UCLA where she received her MFA, as well as a theatrical stand out moment of the year from SDC for the creation and leadership of the National Directors Fellowship program.  Wendy has served on the SDC Executive Board for 12 years and is a graduate of the University of Michigan.
