Van Barton studied under the late Wynn Handman and at HB studio under the tutelage of Austin Pendleton. He was cast in the Off-Broadway production of The Saintliness of Margery Kempe, at the Duke on 42nd Street in 2018. He currently is starring in Fall's Virtue, an independent short, which follows the life of a recovering heroin addict returning to his Vermont home. He is an ardent mountain biker and outdoorsman.
