Bio
Seret Scott is a theatre director, playwright and actress. In 2020, Ms Scott received the Gordon Davidson Directing Award for Lifetime Achievement in Regional Theatre. As an actress, she has performed on and off Broadway and is the recipient of a Drama Desk Award. As a playwright, Seret's twice-produced play Second Line is the personal account of her experiences in the Free Southern Theater/Civil Rights Movement, 1969. She is proud to have directed the tribute presentation at Constitution Hall for the installation of the MLK Statue on the National Mall. At universities and theatre forums, Ms Scott reads from her extensive acting/directing journals.
