Rebecca S’manga Frank is a Black, White, African, Jewish, American writer, actor, and performer. In May 2015 she graduated from the NYU Graduate Acting Program. Her favorite roles include Vivie and Mrs. Warren, and Sybil Shade in the new play Pale Fire. In the 2015 NYU Freeplay festival Rebecca wrote, directed, and acted in Shakespeare than Fiction, a play about her family roots in Swaziland. Regionally her favorite roles include Mayme in Intimate Apparel, Olivia in Twelfth Night, and parts in 2 world premiers by Marcus Gardley. In August Rebecca will be performing at the NY International Fringe Festival in a piece about the cycle of black boys being gunned down, entitled, The Broken Record.
