Bio
Hamish Linklater’s plays include The Whirligig, produced by The New Group, The Cheats, produced by Steep Theatre in Chicago, andThe Vandal, produced by the Flea Theater, and various other theaters across the country, as well as Australia and Romania! The Vandal was also filmed for the PBS series Theatre Close-Up.
Linklater recently wrapped Production on the third and final Season of the critically acclaimed FX series "Legion" from creator Noah Hawley and will next appear as a series regular in TNT's drama "Tell Me Your Secrets," opposite Lily Rabe. Up next, he will be seen in Brie Larson's directorial debut, Unicorn Store, alongside Samuel L. Jackson for Netflix. Other film includes the Academy Award-winning The Big Short, Ithaca, with Tom Hanks, and Woody Allen's Magic in the Moonlight, Battleship, for Peter Berg; 42, with Chadwick Boseman; Lola Versus, opposite Greta Gerwig; and Miranda July's The Future. On television, Hamish has starred on network and cable shows, from the CBS comedy "The Crazy Ones," where he starred alongside Robin Williams, to a season-long arc on HBO's "The Newsroom," for Aaron Sorkin. Other television credits include "The New Adventures of Old Christine," opposite Julia Louis Dreyfus, "The Big C," with Laura Linney, and FX's "Fargo," amongst many others.
