PETER GANIM is an American actor, descended of Lebanese, Syrian, and Slovak-Rusyn immigrants. He lives and works in New York City.
Broadway: Oslo (Lincoln Center Theater) Off-Broadway: Right You Are! (National Actors Theatre). New York Theater: Medea (PTE), Phoenicia Flowers (Noor Theatre), Nightclub (Ballet Hispánico). Regional Theater: Man and Superman, Hamlet, Antigone, The Owl Answers, The Misanthrope, Othello, Three Sisters, A Doll House, Cloud 9, Tango Palace, Handler, The Bacchae, in productions helmed by directors as idiosyncratic as Joseph Chaikin, Chris Coleman, and Nancy Keystone.
An award-winning theatre director, himself, highlights include his stagings of Eugène Ionesco’s La Leçon and La Cantatrice Chauve, Harold Pinter’s The Birthday Party, Steven Berkoff’s Kvetch, and David Mamet’s Oleanna. He is a cofounder of the celebrated Théâtre du Rêve.
