Orren Alperstein

Orren Alperstein is currently an Admissions Associate at The Brearly School, and serves as a founder and current president of The Canavan Foundation, an organization dedicated to educating the public about genetic diseases. She is involved in an extensive capacity at the foundation, engaging in strategic planning, fundraising, grant selection and administration, and cultivating educational programs and outreach activities. She has a comprehensive background in education, particularly as a Special Education Itinerant Teacher and an Associate Hebrew School teacher for children with special needs. Orren has also previously served as an Account Executive at J. Walter Thompson Direct, managing accounts for notable companies, including Estee Lauder and Nickelodeon. She has also been a consultant for the Columbia University School of Business, Random House, and Barnes & Noble, and a Project Manager at Bantam Doubleday Dell.
