Bio
Jane Kaczmarek is best known for the role of Lois on MALCOLM IN THE MIDDLE for which she garnered 7 consecutive Emmy nominations and nods for the Golden Globe and S.A.G Award. Her career started on THE PAPER CHASE and HILL STREET BLUES after graduating from the University of Wisconsin and Yale School of Drama. In NY, Jane has appeared On Broadway and Off and for 7 seasons at Williamstown Theatre Festival where she worked with Anne Kauffman, Alfred Molina, Jen Silverman, Epatha Merkerson, Moritz von Stupelnagel and the late Mark Blum. In Los Angeles, KINDERTRANSPORT (Ovation award ), GOOD PEOPLE (Ovation nomination), and with Alfred Molina, A LONG DAY’S JOURNEY INTO NIGHT and A VIEW FROM THE BRIDGE which was recorded for BBC Radio. At 2023 Tony-winning Pasadena Playhouse, a joint production with Deaf West Theatre of OUR TOWN where she shared the role of Stage Manager with Oscar winner Troy Kotsur. Jane divides her time between Pasadena, where she raised 3 children, New York and the Berkshires.
