Emma Rosa Went is the inaugural Directing Fellow at the Public Theater, where she is directing the world premiere of Initiative by Else Went in Fall '25. Other work in ongoing development with Else includes: Degenerates (workshops at Public, Ars Nova, NYTW;) An Oxford Man (workshops at MTC, South Coast Rep;) I Am the Most Beautiful Bird (workshops with BTB @ Playwrights Horizons, Mercury Store). Emma has been a Drama League Fellow, under commission by Hudson Valley Shakespeare, and in residence with Mercury Store, Public Shakespeare Initiative, & Coffey St. Studio. SDC Member.
