Christian Conn

Christian was born in Heidelberg, Germany - the son of an Army officer. As a child he lived in Germany, Georgia, Arizona, upstate New York, Kansas, and Colorado. He graduated high school from Liberty High School in Colorado Springs, Colorado. After high school, Christian went on to study acting at Rutgers University's Mason Gross School of the Arts, as well the London Academy of Theatre, where he honed his classical theatre chops under the direction of Richard Digby-Day and the patronage of Dame Judi Dench. After receiving a BFA in Acting from Rutgers, Christian moved to New York City, where he continues to reside.

Christian has played leading roles at some of the country's foremost theatres, including The Shakespeare Theatre Company (DC), The Guthrie Theater, The Old Globe, Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park, Asolo Repertory Theatre, Indiana Repertory Theatre, Syracuse Stage, The Hangar Theatre, The O'Neill Theater Center and The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey. In addition, Christian is an alumnus of The Acting Company and has performed at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in Scotland. In New York, he has performed at the CSC, the Duke on 42nd Street, the Lucille Lortel Theatre, 59e59, and Ars Nova, among others.

On the small screen, Christian has appeared on Bull, Jack Ryan, Unforgettable, The Guiding Light, As The World Turns, and Tough Crowd on Comedy Central.

Christian has also recorded several audiobooks for BBC America. His narrations include celebrated authors such as Charlie Huston, Lawrence Block, and Roddy Doyle.

Christian is also a teaching artist and has taught his various acting workshops at the University of Richmond, Central Michigan University, Ohio University, University of Central Arkansas, Dreyfoos School for the Arts (FL), Greenwich Academy (CT), Brooklyn Friends School, Brooklyn International High School, St. Paul Academy (MN), Bishop DuBourg H.S. (MO), Schenectady H.S., Space Coast H.S. (FL), and others. In November 2007, he was honored to be asked to teach his Shakespeare workshop to the National Council on the Arts in Washington, DC.
