Naveen Choudhury has had plays produced and developed in theatres around the country, including Ensemble Studio Theatre, Second Stage Theatre, The Lark Play Development Center, New Federal Theatre, Manhattan Theatre Source, The Nuyorican Poets Café, and Desipina & Co. In 2012, she was awarded a commission from the Ensemble Studio Theatre/Alfred P. Sloan Foundation Project to write a play exploring the worlds of science and technology. She has been a finalist for The Public Theater’s Time Warner Emerging Writers Group and a semi-finalist for the Juilliard Playwriting Fellowship. An active participant in the South Asian American theatre community, she is a member of SALAAM Theatre and an alumna member of Desipina & Co. Ms. Choudhury received her MFA in playwriting from the New School and is a member of The Dramatists Guild.
